Tessa Mey Gordon joined the family on April 13, 2011 at 5:17 am. She came out at 8 lbs and 9 oz and 19 inches long. She has brown hair which is unusual for our little girls but Isaac was proud that she looks more like him, even if she is another sister. She came out pretty quick, but got a wee bit stuck which caused her to break her left clavical, but she is doing well and it seems to be healing. She was scheduled to be induced at 7:00 am but she decided to finally come on her own although 8 days late, just a couple of hours before we "evicted" her as Ben put it. Labor was just a short three hours from start to finish and honestly was the quickest one yet, but probably one of the most adventurous as we watched and asked the nurses if they have ever delivered a baby before since my doctor was sound asleep in his warm bed. The on call doctor was rushing in with cold hands and undone hair. (She too had just woken up).
Since then we have been a little sick at our house with everything from pink eye, fevers, ear infections to croup. This week has been much better and we can hardly believe that three weeks have already gone by since Tessa was born. We are grateful that we are feeling better and are adjusting well to our family of six. t
Easter came and went and we were also grateful for our sweet visitors who dropped off Easter treats and brightened our day with their smiles. They were much needed and we were so happy to have them.
