Winter is coming if not here already.

These are the last of the updates. The snow has come and the kids have built snowmen, forts and have gone sledding and it is only November. Hopefully they will find pleasure in the coming months with more snow to come. Hank, the cow, now rests in peace, and we are grateful for his service to our family. It was a bit of a sad day to see him go. Only Isaac cried, although every now and again we look out the window looking for our pet cow. Autumn still asks about him, and each time we see a Holstein she yells "Hank!".

Halloween 2011

Halloween was fun this year. We went to Isaac's school Halloween party at the beginning of the month and then the Trunk or Treat with the church at the end of the month. The kids dressed up everyday of the week until it was over. We started out as snow white, fairy, piggy and magician. Then we became Rapunzel, Fairy princess, Little piggy and scary vampire Isaac. Holidays are so fun with kids.

Carving Pumpkins

We had a great time carving pumpkins this year. The kids had fun picking their pumpkin from our pumpkin patch and drawing their own faces.

Fall Harvest has come and gone.

The harvest has come. We were blessed with so much. We learned how to can this fall and it gave us a great love for our mothers who have done for so many years and for our ancestors who did it prior to them. We canned salsa, tomatoes, applesauce, peaches and even some pizza sauce. We were so excited about our watermelon, we only got a few but this one was the biggest. Autumn helped me rake leaves one morning and the picture of Tess is on her 6 month birthday!

Gordon Summer Updates

We've had such a busy and fun summer, I would hate for it to end. School starts Tuesday, and we have survived and had so much fun this summer at our 4 family reunions, at four weeks of swim class and just hanging out with our new family pet,Hank the cow. The kids have had a great time and each have learned a new skill during the past three months. Tess learned to roll over, Autumn is learning to use the potty and speak clearly, Sabrina can now ride a two wheeled bike, Isaac has been taking piano lessons and has been practicing to become a magician. We have climbed a lot of trees, grown a garden, watched numerous sunsets from our back porch, and even tried to put curlers in our hair. The pictures are in no particular order, just summer fun and memories in our hearts.

Tessa's Blessing Day

Tessa had her special blessing day on June 5th. It was a special day and we are so grateful for the wonderful family members who came and enjoyed the day with us. Tessa is such a little peacemaker in our home and we are grateful she is apart of our family.

Children make us smile

We have great kids, who when they aren't mad, have terrific smiles! They also are super funny at times. Autumn's dress up outfit cracked us up, tigger with a tutu.

Growing up

These pictures make me smile as I look at my kids and how fast they are growing up this summer. The first is Sabrina (Ike took the picture at a reststop in Tooele while I fed the baby). Ike in the car- (Sabrina took the photo. Ike has a lot of favorites. For about 4 months Wild Kratts were his favorite. He has watched and memorized every episode and even talked me into making him a creature powersuit. He designed it, and gave me step by step instructions. We made it to Grandma H's for a day and planted flowers for her in her flower beds. We have learned just how impressionable children are. Autumn watched Ike take books out to the trailer and read them one day. The next day she was outside with books reading them on the trailer. We are just glad it was a good habit to pick up on.
